Own your own Mountain!  That was the ad that caught our eye 25 years ago. Hopefully, it will catch your eye ~ and heart and imagination ~ as well. After 25 years of caretaking and stewarding this amazing property we are ready to pass it on to the right person(s).   Sage Mountain is a well-known 500-acre Herbal Retreat Center & Botanical Sanctuary located in central Vermont.   We have hosted classes and programs here for 24 years, and literally thousands of people have come to love and appreciate the land and energy that’s here.

The property is set up as a small retreat center, and could easily continue to be run as one (i.e. outdoor center, cross country skiing, herbal, yoga, and/or spiritual center), but it would also make a lovely family compound and/or family estate. While extremely private and located at the end of a small county round, Sage Mountain is also very accessible and easy to get to.  It is located just off a main route, 15 minutes from Barre, 20 minutes from Montpelier (the capital of Vermont), one hour to Burlington, and is 20 minutes from Interstate-89.  For those who enjoy skiing, Sage MT is located approximately one hour from every major ski resort in Vermont.

Asking Price

Asking Price:
   $1,600,000.  Please, serious inquiries only.

If you know of anyone who might be interested, please pass this information along. We prefer to not sell through a real estate agent so we can be selective as to who the new owners will be.     Contact Rosemary Gladstar at rgladstar@sagemountain.net and/or Robert Chartier at thegoldentrout@gmail.com

* If someone is interested, we're also willing to sell with most of the items we use for running the center (furnishings, equipment in the kitchen, office equipment, etc) and most of the larger equipment and tools used to maintain the land  (tractors, plows, etc).  We are currently in the process of doing some finishing work so that everything is updated (installing energy efficient windows, a new heating system in main house, and remodeling the downstairs of the main house); the price will go up to reflect the work as its done.
